Team Spirit: Employee Appreciation at The Boulevard

Here at The Boulevard Senior Living – St. Peters, we believe in the power of a chuckle. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s important to remember that laughter reduces stress, boosts morale, and enhances teamwork and creativity. Throughout the year, as Executive Director, a part of my role is always to promote employee appreciation. From social recognition and milestone awards to our weekly creative follow-ups (CFUs), we always take a moment for our hard-working team members.

This past year, my favorite CFU was the celebration of National Pizza Day. We also added Mardi Gras trivia with themed gift bags.

Creative Follow-Ups

These CFUs will continue throughout the year, but we are truly excited to celebrate Employee Appreciation Day on March 1st. Join us as we share laughter by creating a sense of camaraderie amongst our team and continue with the power of a chuckle as we celebrate with the theme, “We are “lucky” to have on our team.” The color will be all things green. We will have an appreciation station, where staff will make goody bags from an assortment of items. The event menu features a variety of items, including a signature green drink, dollar sandwiches, spinach dip, and a veggie tray. Of course, a green dessert will be available. We are also doing personalized shamrock notes for each staff member. We will round out the day with department heads’ videos, giving all the staff kudos. There may be a few other surprises as well! 

These are just a few examples of the many wonderful ways The Boulevard Senior Living – St. Peters shows appreciation to the team. We genuinely believe that when done right, employee recognition creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive. It promotes retention and makes us a great place to work, which, in turn, makes us a great place to live.
