When people think about older adults and technology, outdated stereotypes still linger—such as resistance or a complete inability to understand it. But today’s reality tells a different story. Many aging adults are not only embracing technology but actively seeking tools that make life easier, more connected, and engaging.
Technology use among older adults is steadily on the rise. A 2024 national AARP survey revealed that 66 percent of respondents said technology enriches their lives by helping manage daily tasks and stay connected.
From video chats with loved ones to health-monitoring apps, older adults are becoming fluent in the digital language of convenience. Many now expect their living environment to reflect these evolving needs.
At The Boulevard Senior Living of St. Peters, staying connected means more than just providing Internet access. It involves offering user-friendly tools that improve everyday life. The Arrow App is a clear example. With just a few taps, residents can view daily menus, event calendars, community updates, wellness resources, and communicate directly with staff.

Introducing the Arrow App to new residents has made a major impact. Communication tools are right at their fingertips. Whether they are new or have lived here for years, residents can easily connect with staff and with each other. The app helps them plan meals, schedule around favorite programs, and even suggest preferred dishes.
Two features have become favorites in our community. The first is the daily dining menu, which appears right on the home screen. Residents enjoy checking each morning to see what’s being served and plan accordingly. The second is the maintenance request tool. Instead of waiting or forgetting details, residents can submit a request immediately. This ensures our Plant Operations team receives clear, accurate information and can respond efficiently.
To support continued learning and build confidence, we host a monthly “Appy Hour.” These sessions invite residents and family members to explore the app’s features with hands-on guidance. It’s incredibly rewarding to see a resident embrace new technology. Their eyes light up as they realize how much simpler and more convenient their routines can be. These moments support independence and bring clarity at a time when both matter more than ever.
The Arrow App does more than serve today’s needs—it prepares us for tomorrow. As the next generation enters senior living, they will bring even higher expectations for digital integration. By investing in smart systems now, we are ready to meet those expectations with ease, innovation, and grace.
The Arrow App is more than a convenience—it is a commitment. A commitment to closing communication gaps, empowering residents, and enhancing daily life. With technology as a partner, the future of senior living is not only bright—it is fully connected.
